If using a Sat Nav, please be aware it may direct you to “The Coupans,” which is not our location and is about a quarter of a mile north of our turning. Once nearby, follow the directions below. Our entrance is clearly signposted “Craighead” and “Tamano.”

Driving Directions to Craighead Howf

Coming from the South

  • Take the A9, bypassing Dunblane.
  • Turn left onto the B8033, signposted to Kinbuck and Dunblane.
  • Drive through Kinbuck, cross the narrow bridge, and continue straight for two miles.
  • As you descend a gentle hill, look for a bend at the bottom. Turn left at the “Craighead” and “Tamano” signpost.
  • Drive up the lane; we are the first turning on the right past the pond.

Coming from the North

  • Leave the A9 at Greenloaning, following signs for Braco and Crieff (A822).
  • At the junction at the bottom of the road, turn right towards Braco.
  • Enter Braco village and take the second left after Braco Shop onto Feddal Road (B8033).
  • Continue past the Bowling Club and over the bridge.
  • After approximately two miles, you will pass a white bungalow on the left.
  • About 100 yards further, on the right-hand side, look for the “Craighead” and “Tamano” signpost.
  • Turn right up the lane; we are the first turning on the right past the pond.

Parking at Craighead Howf

For All Glamping Guests

  • Drive up the short hill, follow the lane to the right, passing the glazed gable windows.
  • The car park is on your right.

For the Muckle Howf Cottage

  • As you drive up the short hill, Muckle Howf will be directly in front of you.
  • To park, drive straight on and turn left of the glazed gable end, where you’ll find parking.

Craighead Howf is located near Dunblane and Stirling, providing easy access to shops, restaurants, and railway stations for those arriving by train.

For guests travelling without a car, both towns are well-connected by rail, bus, and airport links. Trains run frequently from Glasgow, Edinburgh, and beyond, with direct services to Stirling and Dunblane. Buses also connect to nearby towns and the wider Scottish countryside.
