The Summer Howf is a delightfully renovated summer house with its own electricity and charming garden-style furnishings. Located at the top of the garden beside the duck pond, this secluded hideaway ensures privacy and tranquillity. Guests staying at the Summer Howf can enjoy the facilities of the Wash Howf, just a pleasant 50m walk down the garden to the main buildings. Here, you will find a modern shower, a flushing toilet, a well-equipped kitchen with a sink, fridge, freezer, and microwave, as well as a hair dryer and a full-length mirror, ensuring all the comforts of home.
One of the highlights of the Summer Howf is the wood-fired hot tub nestled under the trees. Lie back in the hot tub in the evening and enjoy stunning views over the fields while watching the sun set. This unique feature adds a touch of luxury and relaxation to your glamping experience, making the Summer Howf a perfect choice for a memorable holiday in Perthshire.
£150 per night, inclusive of VAT, with a minimum stay of 2 nights, available only during certain times of the year. The hot tub is available for an additional £30 per night, with a minimum two-night booking.

The Summer Howf is a fully furnished garden retreat that sleeps two adults. It features cosy bed linens, towels, a bed balcony with a star-gazing window, and a two-ring gas camping cooker. This delightful summer house offers all the comforts you need for a perfect glamping holiday. Guests staying at the Summer Howf also have access to the Wash Howf, a short 50m walk down the garden to the main buildings, where you will find a modern shower, a flushing toilet, a well-equipped kitchen with a sink, fridge, freezer, and microwave, as well as a hair dryer and a full-length mirror.
Completely secluded amongst the trees at the very top of the garden, the Summer Howf is beside the duck pond with ducks as your neighbours. Walk over the bridge to explore more of the garden and meet the friendly animals.
When dusk descends, unwind in the private wood-fired hot tub and watch the sunset over the fields. Inside, the wood-burning stove keeps the Summer Howf cosy as you relax in the charmingly furnished garden retreat.
Pack a torch, camera, food, and drinks (don’t forget that bottle of bubbly), and of course, time to just sit and enjoy this amazing place “where time stands still.” Slippers are essential for a comfortable stay.
We’re sorry, but the Summer Howf is designed as an adult retreat and is not suitable for children. Additionally, pets are not allowed at Craighead Howf. These policies are in place to protect the wildlife and livestock on the farm and to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests. We appreciate your understanding!
