Beyond your glamping retreat, Craighead Howf’s beautiful two-acre grounds are home to an array of friendly farm animals and wildlife. Wander through the gardens and meet our Highland cows, Soay sheep, Swiss Valley Blacknose sheep, Shropshire sheep, rheas, peafowl, turkeys, guinea fowl, hens, ducks, geese, pygmy goats, and alpacas. Our resident pony and farm cats are also part of the experience, making every moment special.
Essential Packing for Your Stay
To make the most of your stay at The Whisky Howf, we recommend bringing slippers for a cosy indoor experience, a sleep mask if you’re sensitive to light as the star-gazing window remains uncovered, and towels, a torch, a camera, food, and drinks. A bottle of bubbly is always a great addition to celebrate your unique stay. Most importantly, bring time to relax and enjoy this extraordinary glamping escape.
Children & Pets
The Whisky Howf is an adult-only retreat, designed to offer a peaceful and immersive escape. To ensure the wellbeing of our resident farm animals, we do not allow pets, as this is their home, and unfamiliar animals can cause them distress.
However, we understand that assistance dogs provide essential support, and we’re happy to discuss how we can accommodate your needs. Please contact us, and we’ll do our best to help make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We truly appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain the tranquillity of this special place for both our guests and our animals.
