Wonderful Stay
We stayed in the Green Burrow in September 2023 for 2 nights as a couple. We booked this howf as we are Lord of the Rings fans and wanted a peaceful escape in the countryside. There were loads of cute nods to the LOTR films but I won't spoil these for others. We also chose the green burrow as it's at the end of the path, tucked away from the rest of the accommodation site. We felt very comfortable in our howf, with a comfy bed and everything else that we needed for our stay, like a log burner, gas stove, crockery, bath with shower head, etc. Pretty sure Bilbo would be happy here. 🙂 The toilet was in a room right next door to the main living area, which was a bit annoying having to go outside to go next door to the loo, and it was a compost toilet, however, it was fine overall - we got used to it. We loved all of the cool animals on the farm. The Wee Shop sold fresh farm eggs. We bought some guinea fowl and duck eggs for breakfast and they were delicious. We would love to return one day in the future for another special stay. Thank you to the team at Craighead for providing such a fantastic and unique experience so close to home.
